NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OF REGULAR ELECTION

BY THE DESIGNATED ELECTION OFFICIAL FOR THE

EVERGREEN FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Evergreen Fire Protection District, Jefferson and Clear Creek Counties, Colorado, that at the close of business on the sixty-third (63rd) day before the election there were not more candidates for director than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on May 4, 2010, is hereby cancelled pursuant to Section 1-5-208(1.5), C.R.S.

The following candidates are declared elected:

Jeffery DeDisse                                            Four-Year Term to 2014

Charles W. Simons                                       Four-Year Term to 2014

David A. Christensen                                    Four-Year Term to 2014

Engine 2 Returns to Service

Engine 2's repairs have now been completed, and the unit has returned to service at station 2. The repairs were completed a few weeks a head of schedule, and in many ways the truck is better than new.

 
EVFD Collects 6,300 Cubic Yards of Slash

On June 27th and 28th, Evergreen Volunteer Firefighters helped collect 6,369 cubic yards of slash. This was the largest amount since the fire season of 2002.
